Returns & exchanges
Unopened jars go back for a full refund, with no deadline. Opened ones can’t — honey is food. The detail is below.

Unopened jars
If the jar is unopened and its seal is intact, return it for a full refund of what you paid for it. There’s no deadline — a sealed jar is a sealed jar. Email hello@functionalelixirs.com with your order number and we’ll send the return address.
You arrange and pay the return postage. We don’t send prepaid labels for change-of-mind returns. Pack the jar well — glass travels badly — and keep your tracking number; we can only refund a jar that reaches us intact. Refunds post within 5 business days of arrival, to your original payment method. The original outbound shipping charge isn’t refunded.
Opened jars
We can’t accept them. Honey is food, and once a seal is broken the jar can’t be resold or given to anyone else — so an opened jar can’t be returned or refunded, including if you simply don’t care for the taste. Please don’t ship one back; we’d have to throw it away and you’d be out the postage too.
If something tastes genuinely wrong — off, fermented, not what the label describes — that’s a different matter. Email us with a photo and we’ll sort it out.
Damaged or wrong items
Photograph the box and the jar and send them to us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll ship a replacement immediately — no return, no charge. If you’d rather a refund, say so.
Gifts
Gift recipients can exchange an unopened jar or take store credit using the order number or the recipient email; refunds go to the purchaser’s original payment method. We never include prices in gift boxes.
Exchanges
Want a different size or set? Email us. Send the unopened original back at your own cost; once it arrives we’ll ship the replacement and settle any price difference.
Not covered
Opened jars. Crystallized honey — that’s natural, not a fault; stand the closed jar in warm water for 20–30 minutes and stir. Purchases from third-party retailers (please return to them). Return postage, in every case except our own error.
California residents
Nothing here limits your rights under California law, including the Consumer Legal Remedies Act. Refunds for returns made under this policy are issued in the original form of payment within the timeframes above.
